Dear followers of Arts for Health Florida,
We are writing to you today to announce the dissolution of Arts for Health Florida. Since 2014, Arts for Health Florida has strived to promote the use of the arts for health and wellbeing across the state of Florida. We have seen the field of arts in health grow exponentially in our state, and are proud of the work we, together with you our membership, have done.
If you are not already familiar, there is a National Organization for Arts in Health (NOAH). This agency holds many of the same goals and values as Arts for Health Florida, but on a national scale. To fulfill their goals, they encourage the growth of Regional Networks across the nation.
As Arts for Health Florida comes to a close, NOAH has generously offered to incorporate our memberships through this calendar year. AFHFL members will be part of a national searchable arts in health database, be able to participate in monthly calls on research and professionalization, receive discounted registration to their annual conference (in Boston this September!), and a host of other benefits listed here: thenoah.net/membership.
NOAH is also developing a model for sustainable regional arts in health networks, which you can follow the development of through their blog and website.
We hope that you will become actively engaged in the national arts in health dialogue through NOAH, and find community through the Florida Regional Network. If anyone reading this has interest in being a liaison for the Florida Regional Network, please contact Regional Network Chair Alan Siegel at email@example.com.
We would like to thank NOAH for this opportunity for Arts for Health Florida members. We are sad to close the doors of Arts for Health Florida, but it is made easier knowing that our memberships are in good hands.
We would also like to thank each and every one of our members throughout the years, as you have truly made an impact on the field of arts in health in our state. We hope that the Florida Regional Network of NOAH flourishes, and are confident that it will with your participation.
